We're looking to expand our team of editors who have experience developing content for B2B outlets. You'll be working on content marketing projects for TBC clients, and you'll need top-notch line-editing, proofreading, and fact-checking skills. Essential to your ability to edit effectively will be an ability to study and comprehend the clients' voice and tone guidelines, and ensure that they are implemented consistently in every piece of copy we deliver. You'll need to be able to receive and integrate feedback from stakeholders within TBC and on the client side, and you need to have unfailing discipline when it comes to time management and deadlines. A basic understanding of the principles of SEO and how to implement them is also an asset.

We are culture-lovers and storytellers, with backgrounds spanning journalism, filmmaking, media production, product development, PR, and content marketing. Our clients include some of the world’s biggest entertainment brands, including Spotify, SoundCloud, Sonos, YouTube, SPIN, Slate, Universal Music, and many others. The company was founded in 2015 and employs a staff of over 200 creative talents around the world.

Responsibilities include:

  • Reading and comprehending voice & tone guidelines provided by the client
  • Reading and comprehending process and expectations guidelines created by TBC
  • Attending to shared timelines and proactively spotting potential adjustments or slowdowns.
  • Fact-checking
  • Editing for style, tone, voice, implied meaning, and information organization
  • Confirming that content adheres to expectations as conveyed in project briefs
  • Ensuring that the content is on-brand for the client and their audience
  • Collaborating with the writer and project manager as needed to bring copy up to standards
  • Confirming that SEO terms are integrated in a way that enhances (does not disrupt) the flow of content (and making sure that the edit process does not remove them)
  • Nailing deadlines
  • Attending to TBC stakeholder feedback in a timely fashion
  • Resolving client feedback in a timely and attentive fashion
  • Analyzing client feedback for guidance on pending assignments
  • Attending VC check-ins with project manager, other TBC stakeholders, and clients as needed

What we’re looking for:

  • Experience in editing B2B content
  • Top-notch editing skills that are attentive both to the overarching purpose of the piece but also to the brand voice expectations of the client and to syntax, grammar, vocab, and other mechanics of excellent prose
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Knowledge of and passion for culture
  • Strong time management skills and the ability to meet deadlines consistently
  • Ability to excel in fast-paced environments
  • Expertise in Google Suite of tools
