Salary: TNTP offers a competitive salary commensurate with experience with the potential for an annual performance-based bonus. The full salary range for this position is $88,000-$132,000. New hires are typically brought into the organization at a salary between the range minimum and the salary range midpoint depending on qualifications, internal equity, and the budgeted amount for the role. We offer a comprehensive benefits plan, covering the majority of the employee premium for the base medical plan and subsidizing the majority of costs for a spouse/domestic partner and children. Other benefits include dental and vision plans, disability, life insurance, parenting benefits, flexible spending account options, generous vacation time, commuter benefits, referral bonuses, professional development, and a 403(b) plan with employer matching. TNTP seeks a full-time Director, Digital Marketing & Communications for our Brand & Marketing team. This position is based in a remote home office anywhere in the U.S. and is available immediately. Occasional travel for organizational meetings and client projects may be required.

Our Brand & Marketing Department works to position TNTP as the nation’s most authoritative voice on effective teaching and providing all students with the quality education they deserve. We are a collaborative, creative team leading TNTP's marketing, publications, and external communications efforts. Our team is virtual, working remotely from home offices across the country.
What You’ll Do
As Director, Digital Marketing & Communications you will report to the Partner, Brand and Marketing, and work closely with staff and leaders across the team and organization. You’ll be integral to creating and executing TNTP’s digital marketing efforts moving audiences to action. We’re looking for people who embrace a fast-paced organization and thrive on constant learning.
Specific responsibilities include:
- Collaborate with Partner, Marketing and Brand Communications and other Communications team colleagues to develop a comprehensive marketing strategy that moves our target audiences through the marketing funnel to take action with TNTP.
- Lead digital marketing efforts, including SEO/SEM, email, social media, and display advertising, taking campaigns from the idea stage through their execution, implementation, and measurement/analysis.
- Design and implement creative marketing campaigns, optimizing them through such activities as audience segmentation, content and design testing, personalization, and continuous learning and improvement processes
- Lead email marketing efforts, including: writing and editing email content to highlight TNTP’s work, point of view, and impact; upgrading our email templates to harmonize with TNTP’s forthcoming brand and visual identity update, using graphics, personalization, and mobile-friendly templates; creating, designing, and testing various CTAs and email designs; and maintaining our email marketing database.
- Measure and assess performance of digital marketing campaigns against established KPIs.
- Monitor and evaluate online media campaigns to keep them fresh and effective.
- Manage marketing vendors.
- Consult with cross-functional teams to create brand-aligned marketing materials that support regional and programmatic business strategies.
- Contribute to other projects across the team as necessary, including writing, editing, and design support for various client-facing projects, including websites, reports, presentations, ad campaigns, videos, and graphics.
- Manage team members and contribute to a strong, inclusive team culture.

Qualifications
- Five years of digital marketing experience, which must include email marketing, lead nurturing, marketing automation, and marketing analytics. Prior experience in the education sector a plus.
- Strong marketing copywriting skills, including the ability to adapt style to situation and the ability to create effective marketing messages.
- Proficiency working with key marketing performance metrics and tracking tools. Ability to analyze data to glean insights around TNTP’s market and campaign performance and turn those insights into actionable recommendations to deepen audience engagement.
- Ability to synthesize large amounts of information effectively and strategically.
- Ability to project manage communications deliverables and reliably meet deadlines.
- Flexibility in a fast-paced environment of rapidly changing priorities while balancing details of executing marketing deliverables.
- At least 2 years of people management experience, with a demonstrated ability to develop junior staff.
- Strong interpersonal communication skills with a proven ability to invest others and influence outcomes, while also inviting and respecting diverse perspectives and fostering an inclusive and collaborative team culture.
- High emotional intelligence, strong listening skills, and a demonstrated interest in and commitment to diversity, equity and inclusion.
- Proficiency in Campaign Monitor and Salesforce (preferred).
- Bilingual Spanish abilities strongly preferred.
