The project-based swing shift Production Coordinator’s main focus is supporting The Daily Show with Trevor Noah across all social media platforms. This position supports the swing shift Associate Producers, Producers, and senior creative leads for the series. Production Coordinators must be comfortable working collaboratively within a matrixed organization.

Candidates should have experience managing content across desktop, tablet, social, and mobile media, with an eye towards the convergence of these platforms, along with a background in news, social media, content creation/strategy, engagement and growth. The ideal candidate can conceive innovative content that lives synergistically across video, social and interactive mediums, and articulate their vision and strategy to senior executives.

This position is currently remote but will be based at the Comedy Central headquarters (LA or NY) in 2021. The Production Coordinator will work closely with contacts at The Daily Show as well as collaborate with Comedy Central’s Digital, Development, Editorial, Design, Press, Marketing and Sales teams. Hours are 5PM-1AM ET Monday-Thursday with a half day afternoon shift on Friday.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Support swing shift Associate Producer, Producer, and Senior Producer on The Daily Show with Trevor Noah
  • Handle digital production related tasks for all Daily Show social platforms
  • Write editorial for posts across all Daily Show social platforms
  • Drive digital audience engagement and growth year-round
  • Work with Associate Producer and Producer to refine social strategy from week-to-week
  • Additional Responsibilities:
  • Create stylized images and GIFs from show content on a daily basis
  • Support process of encoding audio and video clips and serve as point person for flow of assets and requests
  • Retrieve and process production assets as directed by Producers
  • Work with Project Managers to ensure that process, workflow, documentation, and tools are upheld and/or improved to department standards
  • Ensuring that all rights and clearances are properly pursued and secured
  • Working with Research to identify and track relevant analytics
  • Developing ways to increase site traffic and optimize advertising revenue wherever possible
  • Required Qualifications/Skills:

  • 2-3 years of digital production experience at a major commercial media, entertainment or creative brand or interactive agency
  • Excellent written and verbal communication and presentation skills
  • Experienced knowledge of Photoshop and an eye for design
  • Working knowledge and understanding of digital technologies and platforms
  • Intimate familiarity with Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, YouTube, Snapchat, and TikTok
  • Strong knowledge of current events, politics, internet culture and trends
  • Understanding of the relationships of social media and SEO
