We invented the world’s first GPS dog fence that allows people to create fenced in yards anywhere without having to build a physical fence or dig trenches and bury wires for an invisible fence. You’ll be part of a growing, fun, and collaborative team, driving the D2C sales of a hot, new consumer tech product.
Reporting to the VP of Marketing, this position manages SpotOn’s partnerships, including influencers. The person in this role will identify brands, organizations, influencers and customers we can partner with to grow brand awareness, source UGC, drive email lead collection, and deliver sales.
We are looking for an energetic, outgoing, and organized marketer comfortable reaching out cold to potential partners as well as nurturing existing relationships. The ideal person will be able to develop a partnership strategy based on the company's sales goals.
RESPONSIBILITIES
The Partnerships Marketing Manager is responsible for building marketing programs with third parties, including other brands, organizations, influencers, trainers, veterinarians, and customers. In this role, you will develop relationships, design mutually beneficial promotions and manage those programs through execution.
Brand Partnerships
- Identify brand partnerships that can help SpotOn increase brand awareness, improve our brand position and either drive email collection or sales.
- Develop an overall brand partnership strategy with targets and metrics
- Conduct outreach to potential partner brands, generating interest and communicating the benefits of partnering with SpotOn
- Manage partnership contract negotiations
- Design innovative immersive major partnerships that will garner attention and press coverage, while acquiring new customers for the brand
- Secure a steady monthly stream of smaller brand partnerships for social giveaways, content exchanges, and email collection
- Efficiently manage marketing partnerships, optimizing all touchpoints across SpotOn and the partner’s ecosystems to maximize results for each program
- Write briefs and work with creative team to secure assets needed to support the partnership
- Traffic asset delivery and all communications with partners
- Track performance, growth and engagement on an ongoing basis Report monthly on partnership marketing results, ensuring KPIs are met & strategic insights are shared with team
Influencer Marketing
- Develop an influencer strategy that can drive brand awareness, collect UGC, or drive sales.
- Manage relationships with existing influencers, creating regular campaigns or asks for them to fulfill.
- Identify & recruit new influencers that meet SpotOn's marketing goals.
- Negotiate contracts with influencers.
- Identify relevant influencers for content creator whitelisting and campaigns to ensure a solid roster of content talent.
- Build out UGC process for the marketing organization so that all channels can leverage assets created by influencers.
- Provide weekly & monthly influencer reporting on goals and results.
Other Partnerships
Assess value of various partnerships strategies and develop plan to pursue those that seem most promising for SpotOn. This could include micro influencers, ambassadors, dog trainers, veterinarians, realtors, and other groups.
REQUIREMENTS
- BA/BS Degree
- 5+ years of marketing experience, including 2+ years managing brand partners and influencers.
- Tenacious, outgoing and does not take No personally. The person in this role should not be afraid to cold contact people and ask for partnerships.
- Great relationship manager, developing strong and loyal ties with partners. Deep understanding of what the partner wants out of the relationship and able to nurture mutually beneficial relationships.
- Ability to collaborate across the marketing organization and the entire company to ensure team members are aware of your programs and that partnership activities align with other strategies.
- Solid analytical skills. Understand the key metrics to track for this channel and able to analyze what is working and what is not to shift strategy. Must have good Excel skills.
- Innovative and creative thinker, proven experience coming up with creative solutions to problems.
- Strong project management skills.
- Excellent communications skills.
- Ability to understand and communicate complex technology
- Experience working with dogs, either professionally or personally, is a plus. Comfort with touching and working with dogs is required.
- This can be a remote or hybrid role. Ability to attend periodic meetings at our Manchester, NH headquarters is preferred.
