ASCO is currently seeking an Editorial Coordinator to join our team and support our Editorial Office including contributing to processes for the Journal of Clinical Oncology (JCO). If you have a strong attention to detail, excellent organizational skills, and a desire to contribute to the peer review process while providing exceptional customer service, we want to hear from you.

ResponsibilitiesSupport department activities by participating in the progression of manuscripts through the peer-review process.Partner with outside vendors to maintain and troubleshoot the Editorial Manager submission system.Partner with the external Production Team to ensure the quality of articles and figures after acceptance.Work effectively across departments to promote special programs to ASCO members.Serve as key liaison and support for staff and volunteers, including training new staff and Editors and responding to voicemail and journal inboxes.Periodically review procedures and processes within the Editorial Office and offer insight and recommendations.Develop, maintain, and provide reports and complete research requests.Required Education and ExperienceBachelor's degree in English, Communications, or a related degree, or equivalent years of experience2+ years of experience in scholarly peer-review managementProficiency in Microsoft Office and a comfort level with adapting to new technologyPreferred Education and ExperienceProficient in the use of manuscript submission systems, preferably Editorial ManagerCompetenciesAbility to work independently and collaboratively in teamsStrong time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines, prioritize, and multi-taskHighly effective communication and interpersonal skills; ability to provide a high level of efficient support to authors, editors, and reviewersExcellent organizational skills and attention to detailSelf-motivated with a willingness to take new initiativesStrong desire to seek continuous improvements by staying knowledgeable on the current industry trendsStrong writing skills, including excellent grammar, spelling, and proofreadingADA/Physical RequirementsMust lift up to 10 lbs.Fast-paced office environment with extended periods seated or standing at a deskHigh use of computer and other office technology equipmentTravel5-10 days per yearGenerous Benefits Package:Hybrid Work EnvironmentOpen Leave PolicyPaid Family Leave13 Paid Holidays per Calendar YearStaff Appreciation Days401(k):
