Job Description:
We are currently hiring a Web Application Developer in Washington, DC, for a long-term contract position.
Typical Skills Include:
- Strong skills developing applications and backend services using C#, ASP.NET MVC, Web API, JavaScript, jQuery, Node.js, CSS, Cloud AWS, SQL, GitHub Enterprise
- Experience automating tasks with Bash, PowerShell, or Perl
- Developing and maintaining web services; experience with MVC, WCF, and Web APIs is preferable
- Designing and maintaining user interfaces with HTML, JavaScript, CSS; experience with jQuery, Node.js, Chart.js, Bootstrap, and UI Ajax is preferable
- Developing and maintaining data in relational databases; heavy SQL experience with stored procedures, functions, and performance tuning
- Building web applications using ASP.NET Core, including MVC architecture and RESTful APIs with ASP.NET Core Web API
- Understanding ASP.NET Core middleware, dependency injection, and security features
- Using Razor syntax for dynamic content in views
- Proficiency with jQuery for DOM manipulation and event handling, AJAX, and plugin customization
- Developing responsive web applications with Bootstrap, including layout and component customization
- Other operational support tasks as assigned
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in an IT-related field (preferred)
- GitHub Actions Certification
- AWS Certified Developer
- CompTIA Security+
- Certified Software Development Professional
- (ISC)2 CSSLP – Certified Secure Software Lifecycle Professional
Responsibilities:
- Run and monitor software performance tests, debug, and improve programs
- Analyze test results and provide solutions
- Install and upgrade software products
- Write scripts to enhance website and web application functionality and appearance
- Provision development environments (local, virtual, or cloud-based)
- Design, deploy, and maintain deployment scripts and artifact repositories
- Automate routine tasks such as code formatting, testing, and linting
