Lead Complex Mechanical Solutions
Design and develop advanced micro-plastic mechanical systems for audio micro-speakers. Integrate insert-molded steel plates and acoustic meshes to enhance performance. Prototype and Validate
Build and test mechanical prototypes to validate speaker performance and refine integration strategies. Establish mechanical test systems and iterate using data-backed insights. Collaborate Through Product Lifecycle
Work across the entire product development cycle—from concept to production. Partner with internal teams to ensure seamless mechanical integration of speaker modules. Vendor and Cross-Functional Engagement
Coordinate with contract manufacturers (CM), joint development manufacturers (JDM), and vendors to streamline resources and improve product quality. Innovate with Technology
Stay informed on mechanical and acoustic advancements. Propose innovative solutions to enhance the functionality, durability, and performance of audio systems. Travel for Vendor Coordination
Occasionally travel (up to 15%) to external vendors, especially in Asia, to ensure strong partnerships and successful development outcomes. Audio Mechanical Design Engineer Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent experience
4+ years of experience in consumer electronics product design, especially in high-volume micro-speakers
CAD proficiency in 2D and 3D modeling
Expertise in DFM, DFA, statistical tolerance analysis, and geometric dimensioning
Hands-on knowledge of plastics, metals, adhesives, and glass
Familiarity with mold flow analysis and DOE (Design of Experiments)
Understanding of manufacturing methods like stamping, machining, and injection molding
Audio Mechanical Design Engineer Preferred Qualifications
Master’s or PhD in Mechanical Engineering or related discipline
Experience with NX CAD
Exposure to industrial design processes and cosmetic surface treatments
Experience working with Asian vendors and manufacturing partners
Work Model
