The Packaging Design and Development Manager will oversee the design, development, and management of all brand packaging. Will lead and oversee the packaging design process, from conceptualization to final production. Ensuring that packaging aligns with our brand identity and enhances the overall customer experience is a critical function of this role. This role drives planning and inventory management, and securing the necessary resources for seamless production and product offerings.ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Develops and implements a packaging design strategy that aligns with the company’s overall branding and marketing objectives.Collaborates with product development, marketing, and sales teams to understand product requirements and target audience preferences.Leads the design and creates innovative and visually compelling packaging concepts for current product portfolio and new product launches.Ensures that the packaging design not only meets aesthetic standards but also considers compliance regulations, practically, safety, and sustainability.Sources and evaluates packaging materials to meet quality, costs, and sustainability criteria.Collaborates with suppliers and manufactures to establish packaging specifications.Works with the quality control team to conduct tests on packaging materials and designs to ensure they meet performance and safety standards.Manages the entire packaging design process, including timelines, milestones, and resource allocation.Coordinates with internal teams, external vendors, and stakeholders to ensure smooth and timely execution of packaging projects.Collaborates with procurement and finance teams to optimize packaging costs without compromission quality and design integrity.Reviews and adjusts packaging inventory levels and production schedules to maintain product availability.
Develops procurement strategies that are cost effective.Sources and engages reliable suppliers and vendors.Negotiates with suppliers and vendors to secure advantageous terms.Review purchase order and confirm and organizes the delivery of goods.Manages the efficient flow of packaging to ensure optimum production.

Bachelor’s degree in Business Management or equivalent 5 years of experienceProven experience, 3+ years in packaging design and development, preferably in a managerial role.Demonstrated ability to utilize Microsoft Office programs (excel, word, PowerPoint, etc.), software.Proficiency in design software .Must be a minimum of 21 years of age per state regulations and pass a criminal background check.CERTIFICATIONS OR LICENSES REQUIRED
