Overview
The Macmillan Academic Marketing Department seeks a creative, highly-organized individual to market books from the adult trade divisions and client publishers to colleges and high schools. This position offers a variety of responsibilities, among them digital marketing, social media marketing, copywriting, administrative duties, and some travel to academic conferences. This isan ideal position for an enthusiastic, motivated person to champion books that can make a difference to educators and students, and get them established in college syllabi and school curricula.
What you'll do:
Oversees creation/implementation of social media campaigns
Advertising in Chronicle of Higher Education
Create and deploy email campaigns
Tracking and fulfilling campaign book orders
Coordinates finished book campaigns
Assist in the First-Year Experience program
Provide conference support for the department, including coordinating conference shipments and material
Track course, First-Year, and Inclusive Access adoptions
Administrative support for the department
What you'll bring:
Detail-focused, independently motivated multi-tasker, highly skilled at time and project management.
Strong and adaptable writing skills
Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to gather, analyze, and synthesize information
Knowledge of Adobe (InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator), Excel, and WordPress preferred
Ideal education/experience:
1-3 years book industry experience
Bachelor’s Degree in the Humanities or Social Sciences preferred
This role will have an annual salary of $54,000-$57,000.
