CBS New York is seeking an innovative and experienced producer for an interim position. The ideal candidate is a self-starter with a proven track record in creating and launching newscasts.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement the vision for daily evening newscasts, including story selection, showcasing, writing, and editing.
- Collaborate with team members on daily content creation and innovation.
- Communicate effectively, especially with remote teams.
- Work efficiently under tight deadlines.
- Maintain editorial control and ensure content meets journalistic standards.
- Respond promptly to breaking news situations.
Qualifications
Required:- At least 5 years of experience producing newscasts in a large market.
- Highly organized with excellent attention to detail.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively under deadline pressure.
- Deep understanding of journalistic ethics and strong editorial judgment.
- Creative and innovative storytelling and production skills.
- Experience with AR/VR technologies.
- Familiarity with INews and Edius software.
