Crestron Electronics Inc. is seeking a talented embedded systems firmware engineer to join our firmware team. The role involves designing, developing, testing, debugging, and supporting firmware for our next-generation video streaming systems. The position requires a strong background in embedded systems, firmware development, and related technologies. Primary Responsibilities: Act as a development/resource on the firmware team. Analyze product requirements and determine design feasibility within time and cost constraints. Create modular, component-based architecture with clear communication pathways. Meet project commitments and delivery timelines. Additional Responsibilities: Enforce adherence to development and project management processes. Improve design and development processes for better quality and efficiency. Identify root causes of bugs and implement corrective actions. Collaborate with technology management to define new products and ensure engineering feasibility. Work with support teams to resolve field issues. Mentor engineering team members and ensure code review practices. Stay updated with latest technologies and trends. Participate in special projects as needed. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related engineering field. At least 10 years of experience in embedded Linux/Android firmware development. Experience with Embedded Linux U-boot/kernel, HAL, security features, and Android AOSP framework. Knowledge of ARM TrustZone, TrustZone applications, and network security protocols. Strong C and C++ programming skills. Experience with QTEE, Trusty TEE, OP-TEE, and related frameworks. Excellent communication skills and ability to work in a team environment. Self-motivated, responsible, and able to work in a fast-paced environment. The annual salary range for this position is $122,500 - $198,500, depending on experience and qualifications.
