JOB RESPONSIBILITIES AND ACCOUNTABILITIES:Provides tools and solutions for category business planning, financial, pricing, customer service, IT, marketing, e-commerce, and other areas of the business.Conducts analysis to identify new product opportunities and measure performance against goals and determined objectives.Create Data Connections from multiple sources to an Azure Data LakeWorks alongside a cross-functional team of marketing, pricing, customer service, IT, and others to develop or improve on existing processes and provide value company wide.Provides data-based tools, insights, and solutions for category managers, directors, and leadership to assist them in achieving their plans and strategies.Maintains and update tools and solutions within current BI environment, mainly including Tableau and SQL server, Power BI, Azure Data Lake ensuring data integrity given the numerous databases used to gather relative information for these tools.Collects market, industry, and consumer data from a variety of datasets to produce dashboards, worksheets, and actionable solutions for various teams across the company.Analyzes quantitative market data to provide insight and analysis as it relates to market share and trends within various categories and/or departments.Prepares and presents ad performance analysis to Senior Vice President of Sales, Merchandising, and Marketing on a weekly basis.Monitors category and department trends to provide actionable tasks or accompanying tools to corresponding team or teams to help assist in making business decisions.Supports/participates in creation of merchandising strategy for the merchandising teams based on data and past performance of categories.Produces weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual reports with tight deadlines for various departments across the company.Writes SQL queries from scratch to provide data and analysis on ad hoc data requests from various departments across the companyJOB REQUIREMENTS:
Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, Management, Math or related field preferred.Computer knowledge of Excel and other Microsoft Office programs requiredWork independently on datasets and connections that are no longer supportedHighly attentive to details, able to work on multiple projects with tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment.High regard for data integrity and proper maintenance of systems.Analytical mindset with willingness to think outside of the box.Must be capable of understanding the retail environment.High degree of initiative using analytical and leadership skills.Strong interpersonal, training, and project management skills.Experience with data visualization tools such as Tableau or Power BI, preferredGood understanding of consumer research methodologies and techniques, preferred.Consumer packaged goods experience, preferred.Experience handling aspects of project management, preferredPHYSICAL ENVIRONMENT:
Most work is performed in a temperature-controlled environment.Incumbent may sit for long periods of time at desk or computer terminal.Incumbent may use calculators, keyboards, telephone, and other office equipment in the course of normal workday.Stopping, bending, twisting, and reaching may be required in completion of job duties.Position may require some travel to metro Cub stores.Workday is fast paced with many projects taking place simultaneously.
