Hitachi Energy is looking for a Marketing Proposal Engineer to join our Marketing and Sales team for the Components business in Alamo, TN! Support local sales organization and customers in determining the most technically appropriate and cost-effective solutions of our components portfolio for transformers and prepare technical descriptions of the applied products and technology to support the proposal process.
* Create and complete bids/estimations/quotations based on customer specification or customer requirements/budget of components for transformers.* Prepare proposal using standard templates and integrate customer fill-in data and internal standard quotation documents.* Review opportunities in Sales Force database.* Ensure bids are well documented and submitted in a timely manner and with appropriate level of details.* Close collaboration with different sales channels (users, service groups, reps, distributors and front end sales).* Follow-up with sales representative to obtain feedback and revise offers as needed.* Respond to customer questions in collaboration with sales representative.* Perform contract review and transfer to Project Manager.* Provide details on of design and delivery address to transport service providers and obtain offers.* Develop final pricing and packaging of all costs and data.* Prepare full cost model and obtain approvals per the table of authority.* Prepare and coordinate risk reviews with internal stakeholders.* Living Hitachi Energy's core values of safety and integrity, which means taking responsibility for your own actions while caring for your colleagues and the business.
* Bachelor's degree and a minimum 3-5 years of experience (Engineering, Sales and/or Marketing are preferred. However, other disciplines will be considered with proven technical selling aptitude.)* Candidate must already have work authorization that would permit them to work for Hitachi Energy in the United States.* Experience within transformer business is preferred.* Previous experience in bid management, sales support, project execution or similar* Experience with SalesForce.Com* Excellent communication skills (written & verbal).* Strong customer relationship skills.* Exceptional analytical skills, relationship management qualities, and leadership abilities.
