Job Description
POSITION SUMMARY
We are seeking a Software Developer passionate about staying current with technology to help develop a web application for data center management. Our collaborative environment involves working with Java 17, Spring, Angular 15, Hibernate, REST APIs, PostgreSQL 15, Tomcat 10, GitHub, Maven, Jenkins, JIRA, and SCRUM.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Participate in the full software development life cycle following Sunbird’s processes.
- Analyze and clarify requirements for software enhancements.
- Design and implement software enhancements using Angular, HTML, and CSS.
- Assist in maintaining and migrating from AngularJS to Angular.
- Produce efficient, reusable, and maintainable code.
- Write and perform unit and integration tests.
- Deliver high-quality software on time and within scope.
- Collaborate with QA testers to fix defects.
- Research and leverage third-party libraries and tools to facilitate development.
REQUIREMENTS/QUALIFICATIONS
- Minimum 3 years of professional Angular development experience.
- Strong problem-solving and debugging skills.
- Good understanding of JavaScript, TypeScript, HTML5, and CSS3.
- Experience with REST web services.
- Unix/Linux experience.
- Aptitude and willingness to learn new technologies.
- Bachelor's degree in computer science or related field.
DESIRED KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS
Experience in the following areas is advantageous:
- Graphic Design
- User Experience
- Migration from AngularJS to Angular
- Knowledge of jQuery, AngularJS, or similar libraries
- Strong HTML and CSS skills for creating sophisticated layouts
