The Junior Designer will be responsible for the design of novelty and picture books working alongside the Creative Director and assisting the 0-8 trade design group. They will see each project through the design process including conception, approval and production as well as providing general support for the 0-8 trade design group in a fast-paced, deadline driven environment. They must be highly proficient in the Creative Suite programs and have knowledge of Microsoft Office programs. The Junior Designer must be a team player with strong time management and follow-up skills.
RESPONSIBILITIESAssist the Creative Director and the design team creating and revising cover and interior mechanicals as well as novelty components from conceptions through approvals process and prepping files for print.Manage schedules and approvals of assigned projects to make sure marketing, sales and production dates are met.Manage administrative tasks for the design group including uploading covers to proprietary database, archiving files, and assisting in creating materials for sales presentationsManage invoicing for freelancers used by the design group.Perform other duties as assigned by the Creative DirectorWHO WE ARE
