Requirements
- Master’s Degree in Library and Information Science (MLIS) from an ALA-accredited institution (required).
- Experience managing a school library or similar educational setting (preferred).
- Demonstrated proficiency with library automation systems and digital resource platforms.
- Direct experience with Blackbaud (or a comparable database system) in an administrative or data management role (required).
- Strong attention to detail, analytical thinking, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication abilities.
- Commitment to Catholic education and the mission of Central Catholic High School.
Library Leadership
- Manage the daily operations of the school library, including circulation, cataloging, acquisitions, and inventory of print and digital resources.
- Create a welcoming, student-focused environment that promotes reading, research, and academic engagement.
- Partner with faculty across departments to teach information literacy, research strategies, resource integration, and responsible technology use.
- Provide guidance in digital citizenship, academic integrity, and responsible information use.
- Support integrated research, project-based learning, and interdisciplinary instruction by offering access to digital and physical tools for students and faculty.
- Curate diverse and inclusive collections—both digital and print—that reflect student interests, faith, cultural identity, and academic needs.
- Host programs, clubs, and literacy initiatives that promote joy, discovery, and lifelong learning.
- Oversee all aspects of the Blackbaud system, including configuration, user access, permissions, and ongoing system maintenance.
- Manage data operations, such as imports/exports, course scheduling, and academic record-keeping.
- Build and maintain queries, reports, and dashboards to support data-driven decision-making.
- Ensure the accuracy and integrity of student information, report cards, transcripts, and schedules.
- Provide training and ongoing support for faculty and staff using the Learning Management System (LMS) and Student Information System (SIS) features.
- Serve as the primary liaison with Blackbaud technical support and troubleshoot system issues in collaboration with school leadership.
- Knowledge of the basic teachings of the Catholic Church
- Strong initiative and desire to work in a highly collaborative environment.
- Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills

- Able to work a full school day and some weekends/evenings
- Required to work in standard classroom/office and school conditions
- Required to manage high to moderate levels of stress
- Able to lift or carry supplies, textbooks, furniture, and or equipment
- Able to maintain composure and avoid inappropriate displays of anger
- Required to sit, stand, bend, stoop, reach, grab, pull, hear, see, and speak on a daily basis
- Required to perform repetitive physical tasks such as computer keyboarding, writing, and reading
- Required to monitor students in a variety of locations, including those with noise, activity, and inclement weather.
Salary: Starting at $50,000 and commensurate with experience and qualifications.
