The PLL is seeking an ambitious & skilled marketer to own and execute the PLL's ticket sales marketing strategy. The role is the first of its kind for the league, and will be tasked with expanding marketing efforts and strategic scope related to ticket sales. This will include owning on sale campaign strategy and execution, build and deployment of promotional calendars, supporting management of PLL's digital agencies, driving lead list development and efficiency for the PLL's inside sales team, and analysis of the PLL's ticket sales marketing strategy & key initiatives. Ideal candidates will be self-starters, highly-organized, and prepared to deliver against aggressive targets. Familiarity (and some spikes) across a broad spectrum of marketing disciplines is a must: Email/CRM, Digital O&O, Performance, In-Home, OOH, Affiliate, Referral. Best candidates will have a foundational understanding of ticket sales - with experience working in or adjacent to ticket sales (sports or other industry).
Roles & Responsibilities:Drive PLL's ticket sales marketing strategyDevelop strategy to drive all of PLL's ticketing campaignsCreate campaign briefs for all PLL ticketing campaignsOrganize PLL ticketing campaigns with workback calendars, Asana management, and cross-departmental communicationExecute ticketing promotions, including briefing in the team, requesting and trafficking creative, and tracking outcomesHost ongoing meetings to ensure seamless execution of campaignsSupport strategy for paid and off-channel marketing related to ticket salesSit on agency meetings and support execution of paid strategies (trafficking creative, strategic iteration, and more)Support budget management for PLL's paid ticketing effortsDrive high-quality lead list generation for the PLL's inside sales teamMonitor and drive lead-list optimization in concert with the PLL's data teamDevelop the PLL's ticketing calendar - including on sale timelines and promotionsWork with the PLL's data team on dashboard creation, maintenance, and reportingAnalyze and report findings to PLL executivesQualifications:
3+ years of marketing experienceFamiliarity across marketing mediums with an emphasis on digital marketingAdept in developing marketing creative - with a focus on visual arrangement, copywriting, and CTAsDemonstrates strong analytical capabilities; can speak to digital marketing KPIs and analysis with fluencyEither a strong understanding of direct ticket sales marketing, or lead-based marketing to support a sales org; both is a plus - learning both is a mustExperience in data analysis and reportingExperience in campaign managementSelf-starter with strong interpersonal and team-based skillsHard worker who is a "doer" first; must be ready to roll sleeves upExperience working with digital agencies is a plusSports or events marketing background is a plusHighly-motivated and eager to make an impact on the organizationCompensation:
