Candidate must be prepared to assume all duties associated with writing and producing submissions required in response to federal and commercial RFPs, RFIs, and Sources Sought notices.ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIESAnalyzes Request for Proposals (RFP) and builds compliance matricesCreates storyboards, sectional outlines, and writing templatesAdheres to production timelines and ensures compliance with the proposed scheduleCollects technical data, processes, and organizational approaches from Subject Matter ExpertsResearches solutions to operational requirementsWrites all bid content (either alone or in conjunction with team members), including executive summaries, organization approaches, cost narratives, technical sections, past performance volumes, etc.Ensures document compliance with RFP criteria, including requirements related to content, formatting, length, layout, etc.Writes management plans, staffing plans, transition plans, quality control plans, executive summaries, and other major sections of competitive and direct award proposalsEdits and revise text to ensure content is customer/Katmai-compliant, error-free, and uniform in tone and styleAdheres strictly to team schedules and deadlinesAssists with facilitating team reviews of working drafts and making revisions as requiredAssists with developing and maintaining a knowledge libraryProvides document layout, formatting, printing, and assemblyAssists with ad hoc team requests, as neededPerforms other duties as assigned, including some department-specific clerical dutiesMaintains regular and punctual attendanceMINIMUM QUALIFICATIONSMinimum of three (3) years relevant experience responding to government Requests for Proposals (RFP)Minimum of three (3) years relevant DoD program experienceAbility to interpret RFPs requirements and form compelling technical solutionsFamiliarity with RFP compliance regulations and ethics, including recent knowledge of Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) requirementsPossess excellent communication (written and oral) and organizational skillsAbility to summarize and paraphrase information without plagiarizingAbility to produce text that is clear, organized, concise, compelling, error-free, and on pointAbility to assess the quality of text based on factors such as grammar, punctuation, cohesiveness, relevance, and flowAbility to analyze technical content and communicate the intent to non-technical audiencesAdvanced expertise in Microsoft and Adobe productsDESIRED QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLSBachelor's degree in English, journalism, or relevant technical field, or commensurate work experienceAbility to work on multiple projects and initiativesAbility to prioritize tasks appropriatelyAbility to work under tight deadlinesAbility to pay strict attention to detailsWORK SCHEDULEFull-Time.
