The Opportunity:The Digital Gaming team is seeking an Art Director based in Los Angeles, CA, who will help the team drive Mattels gaming business forward. We need someone who is driven, smart, hard-working, and willing to do whatever it takes to be successful.This role is a great fit for anyone who loves video games, a dynamic working environment, and loves working with partners. This role needs to be able to forge internal and external relationships to help expand the business.What Your Impact Will Be:Drive value creation through best-in-class gamesServe as the owner of all art-related tools, processes, and art pipeline of our co-development projectsWork closely with our studio team to improve user experience and overall satisfaction with our gamesArt direction across all of our studio games for free-to-play (F2P/FTP) mobile gamesCoordination of all digital gaming initiatives with the Global Brand Teams (GBT)Coordination with various internal teams, including Brand Marketing, Legal, and FinanceQualifications
What Were Looking For:10-15 years of game art experience requiredPulse on the latest trends in video gamesDeep knowledge & expertise in the video game landscapeAbility to think strategically about potential opportunities for process, game, or art improvementsDeep understanding of mobile free-to-play business modelsAbility to travel to game studios globally (as needed)Preferred Requirements:Experience in mobile video gamesPassion for toys, gaming, web3/NFTs, the metaverse, kids/family entertainment, and/or early childhood learning & developmentDemonstrated agrowth mindset by staying curious and continuously learning, embracing challenges, and improving themselves.Additional Information
