Provide Design Management services as an Owner's Representative for a major multi-year project in Dublin, CA. Responsibilities include overview of drawings and specifications to ensure compliance with project requirements for a large Justice/Detention project.
ResponsibilitiesAct as an Owner's Representative with direct client facing responsibilitiesSimultaneously manage multiple projects across a large multi building campus sitesManages and supervises a team of design professionals and other professionals through the design review processPerform quality review, implementation of policy and procedures and interface and coordinates with the StateOversight of contracts, drawings, estimates, and specifications to ensure compliance to project requirementsResponsible for quality control and assurance of projects in design and in constructionManage project controls, cost, schedule, performance activities, and procedures required by the clientConduct project meetings and provide documentation, administration, and tracking of relevant information. Ensure contractor, architect, engineer, will adhere to contractual requirements on areas of safety, performance, project staff, and equipmentProvide management of project logistics, organization, and safetyEnsure project closeout to obtain guarantees, warranties, and related provisions for final project delivery to the ownerRequirements
Education and Experience
Bachelor's degree in Architecture, Engineering, Construction Management, or related field is required10 years of related work experience in project/construction management or administration is requiredLEED Professional Accreditation is preferredKnowledge and Skills
Strong Proficiency with the Microsoft Project Suite of tools is requiredUser knowledge of Bluebeam and Procore are preferredEffective verbal and written communication skills, including the advanced ability to foster and maintain effective interpersonal relationships is requiredAbility to provide leadership and management support to a project team is required
While performing the duties of this job, the employee regularly works in an office environment and frequently works in a construction environment. Conditions occasionally include exposure to outdoor elements, hot/cold temperatures, wet conditions, noise, atmospheric conditions, and cramped quarters. The noise level in the work environment is regularly moderate and occasionally loud.
While performing the duties of this job, the position is moderately active and the employee is required to regularly sit, talk or hear and use hands to finger, feel and handle; frequently stand, walk and reach with hands and arms; occasionally climb or balance and stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl.
