This is a hybrid position requiring three (3) days onsite and two days of telework. Applicants must live within the D.C.metro area and be available to work onsite.
Master’s degree in library/information science from an ALA-accredited institutionMinimum two (2) years of work experience in library technical services operations, including performing original and copy cataloging and applying metadataHands-on experience with the MARC 21 and RDA standardsStrong knowledge and work experience using Library of Congress classification schemaExperience with principles of authority control, including creating, selecting, and applying controlled vocabularies to local collectionsExperience in administration, configuration, and daily operations of an Integrated Library System (ILS). OCLC WorldShare Management Services experience preferredWebsite experience in designing, editing, developing, and maintaining content for intranet webpages and web-based information systemsExperience with HTML and CSS is required, and Drupal experience is preferredExposure to IP management. EZProxy experience preferredExperience in and/or practical working knowledge of library automation, and simple PC troubleshooting techniquesExperience working with law and/or business collections preferred
