Reports To: Head of Marketing
Fort Lauderdale United FC is one of the 8 teams that will feature in the inaugural 2024 season of the USL Super League. Additional teams are set to join in subsequent seasons. Fort Lauderdale United FC is set to play their home matches at Nova Southeastern University, in Davie, Florida, formerly home to the Miami Dolphins training facility.
The Marketing Coordinator will be responsible for developing and executing brand marketing strategies and activations.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES• Develop and implement strategic marketing plans to achieve annual sales goals in collaboration with the head of Marketing• Coordinate with the head of marketing to manage the game presentation and work closely with operations staff to ensure all consumer-facing marketing and brand elements are presented appropriately• Assist with implementing a plan for the marketing staff (Traditional Media, Social Media, PR)• Collaborate with the sales team to create campaigns focused on growing the new Season Ticket Member base, retention, group, advance, theme, and walk-up tickets• Collaborate with the head of marketing on advertising and promotional campaigns which may include TV, radio, print, social, and digital marketing to drive sales and increase brand affinity ultimately• Maintains awareness of campaign results and proactively takes corrective action, as needed, to optimize results in collaboration with the head of marketing• Evaluates market trends to adapt to the changing market and competitive conditions• Collaborates with head of marketing to ensure all creative assets properly reflect the brand and are consistent with marketing and sales objectives• Collaboratively support community initiatives• Must possess a thorough knowledge of the competitive landscape and the brand's competing strengths, weaknesses, and market position• Performs other related duties as assigned
Required Experience & Knowledge• Ability to lead within a fast-paced environment and deliver amidst demanding timelines• Experience in marketing and media agencies• Ability to organize multiple priorities and projects simultaneously• Understanding of creative production processes• Experience developing digital and social creative solutions• Strong problem-solving, decision-making, and analytical skills• Demonstrate an understanding of how marketing, creativity, and media work seamlessly to help brands succeed• Strong interpersonal and communication skills• Independent, self-motivated and creative• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint )
Experience:• At least 2+ years of experience within the sports, entertainment, advertising agency, or media industries• At least 2+ years of experience working with media agencies to coordinate delivering creative assets in accordance with media plans
Educational Background Required• Bachelor's degree required - Advanced degree a plus• Sports and entertainment industry experience preferred
