About the role Job title: Senior Broadcast Engineer Summary The Senior Broadcast Engineer supports live studio productions from Riot Games’ Remote Broadcast Center in Seattle. Responsibilities include executing operations and supporting both traditional and IP/2110 broadcast tools, with expertise in baseband routing, IP and SMPTE 2110 workflows, NDI, Cisco Meraki, intercom, audio consoles, Dante networks, switchers, EVS, and graphics systems. Our workflows combine hardware and software tools to deliver innovative Esports broadcasting. Responsibilities Support studio operations for in-studio and remote productions. Manage Evertz Routers to manipulate audio/video signals, ensuring quality outcomes. Maintain, troubleshoot, and repair broadcast hardware and systems. Support software-defined broadcast tools, IP protocols, and NDI networks. Qualifications Required: 6+ years of broadcast experience or an advanced degree. Experience in Esports broadcasts. Knowledge of switchers, audio consoles, video routers, NDI, EVS, intercom, Cisco networks, and IP protocols. Ability to operate, troubleshoot, and repair complex broadcast systems. Strong understanding of IP networks and 2110 workflows. Familiarity with NDI systems and workflows. Ability to provide constructive feedback and follow engineering best practices. Physical ability to handle equipment and operate necessary tools. Preferred: CCNA or equivalent experience. Cross-platform fluency (Linux, Mac, Windows). Knowledge of SMPTE 2110, streaming, OTT technologies, and protocols. Excellent problem-solving skills and experience supporting large broadcast systems. Management Expectations Be the first point of contact for team queries and escalations. Hold regular team meetings and reviews. Support team development, onboarding, and performance management.
