We’re partnering with a cutting-edge Start Up based in the San Francisco Bay Area that's actively seeking a Network Engineer for a hybrid, full-time opportunity. This company provides infrastructure, cybersecurity, and cloud consulting services to a range of mid-size and enterprise clients. The ideal candidate will bring a strong foundation in routing and switching, Fortinet firewalls, and Linux systems, with the flexibility to support both on-prem and cloud-connected environments.

Required Skills & Experience

1. 5+ years of experience in network engineering roles
2. Strong expertise in routing and switching (BGP, OSPF, VLANs, STP)
3. Hardcore familiarity with Fortinet firewalls (FortiGate, FortiManager, etc.)
4. Solid knowledge of TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, NAT, and VPN technologies
5. Basic-to-intermediate experience with Linux OS administration (RedHat, Ubuntu, or similar)
6. Ability to work in a hybrid capacity with occasional onsite client visits in the Bay Area

Desired Skills & Experience

1. Experience with Cisco and/or Meraki hardware
2. Scripting or automation experience (Bash, Python, or Ansible)
3. Exposure to cloud networking (AWS or Azure VNETs, VPNs, etc.)
4. Fortinet NSE certifications or similar vendor-specific credentials
5. Background in managed services or consulting environments
