Our summer internship program is a 10-week paid internship starting in June and ending in August based out of our NYC, LA, and/or London offices. Our DEI-focused program is designed to create sustainable pipelines to invest in SoundCloud's future, discover new, diverse talent at all levels, and develop future leaders who will contribute to all business areas.
Interns will be fully immersed in the team, receiving opportunities to enhance their skills, contribute to our mission, and prepare for a full-time role. Furthermore, interns will receive various professional and personal development opportunities, like mentorship programming, fireside chats with senior leadership, innovative stretch assignments, and the chance to participate in networking events with other SoundCloud employees across the organization.
SoundCloud is looking for a Product Marketing Intern to join the Growth & Product Marketing team. They will work directly with the Director of Product Marketing to drive growth across our Creator business. This is an exciting opportunity to gain hands-on experience in developing market insights, differentiate SoundCloud against our competitors, guide decision making, and contribute to product marketing areas such as positioning, messaging and go-to-market (GTM) strategy.
Key Responsibilities
Assist senior team members in collecting and analyzing data related to competitors' strategies, products, and market positioningContribute to the synthesis of competitor movements into newsletters, alerts, and executive reportsAid in building and maintaining a full understanding of SoundCloud's market and competitive landscape, including trends and SoundCloud's strengths/weaknessesProvide insights to influence positioning, messaging, GTM strategy, product roadmap, and special projectsCollaborate with internal teams, including marketing, product, revenue enablement, and leadership, to effectively gather and communicate insightsSupport the creation and updating of competitive battlecards and associated messaging for campaign contentYou will get exposure to a broad group of teams and work closely with Marketing, Product, and Strategy & Operations.Who You Are
Currently a student or recent graduate from an accredited university (Graduation date between Dec 2023 - May 2025 preferred)Demonstrates a strong growth and analytical mindset to deliver research and recommendations on various MCI initiatives (both strategic and responsive to real-time events)Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with ability to clearly articulate impact and work cross-functionally across multiple internal teamsSelf-starter, with a passion for research and analysis, and compiling insights into a compelling point of view for company stakeholdersCollaborative and agile mindset to manage multiple projects with team members across the companyDeep Interest in the tech industry, including market trends, innovation, and key competitors in the spaceInternship applications must be submitted by March 29th, 2024.
The summer internship program will be 10-weeks from June 3rd, 2025 - August 9th, 2024. This is a full-time internship and will be hybrid based out of our Los Angeles office. In-person attendance will be expected 2-3 times a week.
The salary for interns based out of our New York or Los Angeles offices will be $6950 paid over the course of the 10-weeks.
