The Talent Acquisition Recruitment Marketing Specialist is a position working under the Administration division in close collaboration with the Communications & Outreach department. They will design, coordinate, and implement a recruitment strategy that will help NYSTRS to find and attract quality candidates through search, social, mobile, and email. Working with the Communications & Outreach department, this position will help Human Resources develop our brand awareness, reputation management, social engagement, and lead generation. They will also work closely with department management, HR management, and the Diversity, Equity & Inclusion (DEI) team to successfully execute both short and long-term recruitment marketing priorities.
A bachelor’s degree; and 3 years of relevant professional experience OR an advanced degree (JD, Master's Degree, etc) may substitute for 1 year of relevant professional experience.Previous working experience preferably at least 2 years as a Recruitment Marketing Specialist or in brand development with experience in recruitment; candidates with previous working experience in Recruiting, Human Resources, Marketing, or Advertising are also welcome to apply
MA degree in Human Resources, Marketing, PR, Industrial and Organizational Psychology, or a similar relevant fieldIn-depth knowledge of employer branding strategies and recruitment marketingExcellent understanding of recruitment processes and candidate selection methodsHands-on experience with recruitment marketing software and/or application tracking systems like Clear Company, Workday, Handshake, etc.Experience creating graphic designs for various recruitment materials using Canva, Adobe Express or PhotoshopProven knowledge of building and executing social media strategiesOutstanding organizational and time management skills, including the ability to multitask and prioritize daily workload and adjust accordinglyExcellent communications, interpersonal skills, and customer service experienceImpeccable written, verbal, and presentation skills, with sharp attention to detail, specifically for content creationAbility to work independently with minimal supervisionCreative thinker and proactive problem solverDemonstrated experience working in a team environmentStrong computer skills, including Excel, PowerPoint, and Word, and the ability to learn quicklyExperience with data analytic and visualization tools, like MS Excel, Qualtrics, and Jamovi
A successful candidate will be responsible for:
Learn the candidate experience and capture this through various marketing channelsTrack, measure, and report on campaign resultsCreate strategies for building a talent network/talent community with key departments and alongside the Sourcing Lead – specific emphasis on developing a diversity/campus/veteran recruiting strategyCreate an employee and campus ambassador program and an employee referral programMonitor NYSTRS employer pages on web-based platforms and execute activities for engaging reviewersPlan of recruiting eventsServe as brand ambassador at various events, like career fairs or on-campus or virtual recruiting eventsGenerate monthly updates for company’s leadership about upcoming recruitment marketing initiativesCreate monthly reports on key recruitment marketing metricsCommunicate regularly with HR department to get a clear view of the company’s hiring needs and organizational goalsWork closely with Talent Acquisition and Recruitment staff to develop creative ways for addressing recruitment challengesSuggest new ideas for the HR department to improve candidate experience and engagementResearch marketing and advertising trends related to hiring within pension funds
In partnership with Communications & Outreach, the candidate will:
Design a recruitment marketing and employer branding strategy to attract high-quality applicantsCreate recruitment media campaigns and newslettersUpdate and maintain the NYSTRS career site and suggest improvements in partnership with the Communications & Outreach departmentIdentify the tactics and platforms that will be most effective in reaching a specified target audienceMake and curate content specific to the recruiting strategyProduce content to support the implementation, coordination, and maintenance of NYSTRS’s company page on Handshake Premium and LinkedInDesign recruiting eventsKeep abreast of new trends in social media channels
Other Duties and Responsibilities:
Work with the recruitment team on servicing open requisitions, including scheduling candidate interviews, following up with search committees, and processing and completing background checks
This position is a Grade 18
If hired prior to April 1, 2015: $68,249 to $89,050
If hired after April 1, 2015: $68,249 to $85,234
