Job Summary
The Social Media Coordinator will create and coordinate social media activities for MC. This position will work collaboratively with staff from across the organization to promote their goals and messages using various social media platforms while maintaining and aligning with College's message and image. The position requires occasional evening and weekend work in order to take photographs and video of MC events.
Required QualificationsHigh School diploma or equivalentExcellent written and verbal communication skillsTechnical knowledge and understanding of social media platforms, metrics, and trackingKnowledge of graphic arts software (Adobe and/or Canva)Project management and organization skillsAbility to learn quickly and change in a fast-paced environmentAbility to handle the pressure of meeting tight deadlinesPreferred Qualifications
Associate degreeOne year of related professional or volunteer experienceEssential Functions
Create social media posts that include attractive graphic and text that contains Midland College brandingTake photographs and video as needed to support social media posts and other college marketing functionsBuild and implement social media programs that ensure appropriate messaging is executed to support College goalsMonitor social media groups, trends, tools, and applications and recommend actions/next stepsWork closely with colleagues across the organization to develop and post content to social networking sitesRegularly report insights gained from social media monitoring to Director, Marketing & CommunicationsMonitor and engage in College-related online conversationsMonitor the College's social media performance usage reportsRespond to social media inquiries about College activities in a timely and courteous fashionProvide support to the Director, Marketing & Communications on social media marketing campaignsOther duties as assignedPhysical Demands

Security Sensitivity

Min Salary$12.00 per hour
Max Salary$20.00 per hour
Pay StatementSalary is commensurate with educational qualifications and experience.
