Conduct research to source and acquire materials from prominent image and footage vendors (e.g., Getty, Alamy, Art Resource), archival houses, copyright entities, the Library of Congress, National Archives, private individuals, and various national and international museumsManage data input and maintenance in our online databaseCollaborate closely with producers, production staff, and professors to procure suitable materials for studio production and multimedia applicationsDirectly communicate with Producers, Writer/Producers, Editors, and Content Developers to address practical production needs, including obtaining permits, appearance releases, and location releases for both studio and field productionsAdhere to the copyright clearance process, ensuring continuous compliance for multimedia productionsPerform administrative tasks to monitor permissions, license agreements, and obtain credit lines as needed
CORE DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
The Marketing Image Rights Analyst primarily performs research, acquires licenses, and obtains copyright clearance for various materials (e.g., photos, charts, maps, music, footage, text rights) used in production of multimedia productsManages and inputs information into the company's online databaseCollaborates closely with producers and production staff to secure materials for studio production and multimedia applicationsCorresponds with Writer/Producers, Editors, and Content Developers to address routine production requirementsAdheres to the copyright clearance process to ensure compliance for multimedia productionsEnsures continuous company compliance for multimedia productionsRegular, dependable attendance and consistent satisfactory or above job performanceOther related duties, as assigned
EXPERIENCE, MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS, AND SOFTWARE
Bachelor's Degree in Art, Communications, Marketing, Liberal Arts, or related field2+ years of direct experience in image research, acquisition, and copyright clearance, in addition to work experience in an archive, image library, or in video productionAbility to use basic office software applications (FileMaker Pro, Word, Excel, etc.)Basic knowledge of production studios is a plusFamiliarity with video software (Adobe Premier), Evolphin Zoom Digital Asset Management system, teleprompterFamiliarity with graphics software (Adobe Photoshop) and hardware (slide scanner, flatbed/transmissive scanner, and digital camera)Knowledge of LucidLink and/or Frame IO preferredExperience with emerging formats and next gen file types and technologies preferredKnowledge with Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Premiere, and After Effects) preferred
