Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) - UI Health Care Bettendorf Outreach Clinic 100%
The University of Iowa Health Care is seeking a patient-centered 100% (40 hours a week) Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to support our Outreach patients within Bettendorf. This position supports our other clinics located within the building, including but not limited to Pediatrics, Dermatology, and Endocrinology. It requires travel within a two-hour radius approximately once per month, using a fleet vehicle and paid drive time.
Our team specializes in caring for everyone in the family, across generations, from birth for life. Our LPNs develop relationships, monitor patient care history, and deliver personalized, compassionate care. When patients need care, our providers connect them with the UI Health Care specialists they require.

Responsibilities include:
- Providing nursing care under the supervision of a registered nurse.
- Participating in the development of nursing care plans and therapeutic programs.
- In less complex situations, supervising assigned nursing personnel; in more complex cases, assisting the registered nurse.

Percent of Time: 100% (40 hours/week)
Schedule: Variable hours between Monday - Friday, 7:30 AM – 5:30 PM; no weekends, no on-call, no holidays.
Location: Bettendorf, IA, and surrounding clinics as needed.
Pay Grade: 11
Salary: $44,557.92 - $66,377.52 (based on experience)
Minimum Eligibility:
- Licensed as an LPN with the Iowa Board of Nursing or eligible for a temporary permit, with ongoing continuing education.
- Basic Cardiac Life Support certification.
Additional Qualifications:
- Valid driver’s license and ability to meet UI Fleet Safety Standards.
- Availability to support other clinical locations as needed.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Ability to adapt quickly to different clinical environments and patient populations.
Desirable Qualifications:
- 1-3 years healthcare support experience, especially in Pediatrics.
- Experience fostering a welcoming, respectful environment.
- Computer skills, including EMR (Epic) and Word.
