Job Description: VP, Leadership Communications, Enterprise Technology As the Vice President of Leadership Communications, your primary responsibility is to provide strategic executive communications support to the Head of Fidelity Technology/Chief Information Officer, coaching him towards executing best practices in executive communications and associate engagement. You will partner closely with leaders of the Enterprise and Fidelity Technology Strategy & Planning, Human Resources, and Global Experience teams to develop and drive the executive communications strategy, plan, and content for the Head of Technology aligned with Fidelity's strategy. This includes leading CIO content development for leadership meetings, town halls, and all associate meetings, leveraging various channels to deliver CIO communications, and collaborating with the Global Experience team. You will serve as an advisor to senior leadership and the CIO Council. You will be part of the Leadership Communications team at Fidelity, working with talented communicators to inform and engage associates, connect with the external marketplace, and support Fidelity's business success while integrating Enterprise Technology and Leadership Communications with broader corporate communications. Experience and Expertise Extensive executive communications experience working with C-suite (L1 level) executives. Proven ability to coach senior executives on best practices for various communication styles, aligning messages with Technology and enterprise goals. Ability to adapt to different executive working styles. Resilient and able to work effectively in high-stakes, fast-paced environments under tight deadlines and competing priorities. Message Development and Content Creation Active listener with the ability to quickly grasp ideas, connect concepts, and translate them into audience-appropriate messages across media and channels. Excellent storyteller capable of distilling complex ideas into compelling, simple messages. Collaborates with senior leaders and partners to develop communications including messaging frameworks, presentations, talking points, and social media posts. Experience aligning communications across Fidelity's various business units and enterprise teams. Works closely with Strategy, Planning, and HR to create and deliver effective communications. Infuses communications with creativity through innovative thinking and problem-solving. Communicator Expertise Expertise in internal, external, thought leadership, and policy communications, with the ability to integrate multifaceted programs for technology executives. Strong project management skills to develop frameworks and implement best practices. Leadership, facilitation, influencing, decision-making, and advocacy skills, with ability to build relationships with senior leaders and strategic partners. Develops and uses metrics to measure and demonstrate communication impact. Bachelor’s Degree and 15+ years in corporate or agency communications, with experience in internal and external communications. Business Acumen Strong strategic mindset and business understanding. Experience in technology communications, including fintechs, blockchain, and innovation horizon scanning. Able to communicate complex technical concepts clearly to diverse audiences. Prioritizes effectively to meet organizational goals and produce results. Opportunities include partnering with colleagues across Enterprise Technology, Corporate Affairs, Government Relations, External Communications, Social Media, Meetings & Events, and Human Resources. The team aims to deliver impactful communications to various stakeholders, including legislators, regulators, community members, media, industry influencers, and associates. Our hybrid working model combines onsite and offsite work, with onsite presence required every other week.
