The Manager (Acquisition Marketing)
position assists with the development and management of the company’s acquisition marketing efforts and supports a key pillar of organic growth.This individual is a key member of the acquisition marketing team and will leverage their marketing expertise to support our direct mail campaigns as well as help shape the company’s
approach to new acquisition channels.This position works collaboratively with others on the marketing team as well as the company’s
credit and analytical partners to champion new account acquisition efforts and assist with projects that impact/benefit acquisitions.
Essential Functions:Assists with new account acquisition marketing campaign strategy including but not limited to:Optimizes channel mix between Direct Mail Prescreen, Invitation to Apply, Digital, etc.Partners with analytical team members to select target audienceDevelops recommendations on campaign test & learn strategies (e.g. positioning, creative, product construct/offer, etc.)Incorporates campaign learnings, competitive insights, and consumer research to define product positioning, messaging, and other campaign creative requirementsPartners with analytical teams to understand learnings from campaigns and develop recommendations for ongoing
to account acquisition strategies and campaigns.Actively participates in the list selection and campaign audit process including identifying and resolving issues and maintaining strong controls to ensure seamless execution.Works on the digital affiliates strategy including identifying ways to optimize marketing efforts in this channelManages campaign execution including working with fulfillment operations team to ensure seamless and error free execution.Partners with the digital team on application funnel, re-targeting, and other opportunitiesPerforms other duties as assigned.
Education and Experience:Bachelor’s degree in business or related field is required, four (4) years’ experience accepted in lieu of education requirement.Three (3) years of related banking or financial services experience is required.
Summary of Qualifications:Experience working on direct response (Direct Mail)/ Prescreen marketing campaigns space is required; strong preference for experience working in the subprime space.Strong knowledge of the credit card industry and consumer regulations is required.Strong understanding of the creative process and how to optimize creative to drive response rates.Strong organizational skills.Ability to utilize outstanding time management, human resources and project management skills.Ability to command respect across the enterprise and within Lending through the establishment of upward and downward communication channels.Confident Leader who is able to consult and influence peers and others within the Lending organization. Relies on experience and sound judgment to plan and accomplish goals.Technically proficient in MS Office Suite, including Excel and PowerPoint.Mathematical, analytical and decision making skills are vital to success.Ability to work under pressure; flexibility and willingness to work at a rapid pace.Ability to compose comprehensive and critical correspondence.Analyze data and compile and deliver comprehensive business presentations.Ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.Excellent organizational and interpersonal skills.Strong attention to detail with the ability to improve processes and drive efficiency.Who is Merrick Bank?
