As a Cabinet Designer, you will be responsible for new construction and remodeling projects from measurement to delivery. You will work directly with builders, contractors, and homeowners to design interior spaces (kitchens, bathrooms, offices, mudrooms, bars, etc.) This will entail finding sales opportunities, job site measurement, designing, and securing the final sale. In addition to having a design background, the following are necessary to succeed: proven sales strategies, strong relationship-building skills, prompt follow through with commitments, and excellent communication skills.
How you will spend you days as a Cabinet Designer:Assisting clients in our showroom and on site coordinating with homeowners and contractorsPreparing detailed cabinet designs in accordance with builder specifications and architectural drawingsUnderstanding the details and using critical thinking to get the correct product for a functional layout to the contractorSolving practical problems and deal with a variety of variables in situations where only limited standardization existsInterpreting a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form
RequirementsDemonstrated ability to design and to sell to contractors and homeownersExcellent knowledge of kitchen and bath cabinetry, materials, finishes, detailing, and trendsWorking knowledge of 20/20 and Microsoft Office programsAbility to read blueprintsAbility to perform detail-oriented tasks in a fast-paced environmentAbility to work a flexible schedule based on customer needsStrong math skills for quotingExcellent presentation and communication skills, both verbal and written
