As a Packaging Designer, you’ll play a key role in creating structural packaging and displays that protect and showcase products. This role is 100% structural, with no graphic design work. You'll collaborate with Sales, Customer Service, and customers to create innovative packaging solutions using CAD and your expertise in structural design.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and revise structural packaging using CAD software.
• Create detailed and assembly drawings.
• Apply knowledge of materials, machinery, and physical sciences in your designs.
• Set up, maintain, and organize design file systems.
• Collaborate with Sales, Customer Service, Purchasing, and Manufacturing on design updates.
• Keep accurate records of all design changes.
• Participate in customer meetings to discuss design needs and feasibility.
• Ensure all procedures are followed precisely.
• Keep your work area clean and organized.
• Manage new item setups, including tapoffs and proof approvals.
• Thrive in a fast-paced and evolving environment.
• Maintain detailed customer records.

What We’re Looking For

Education & Experience

• A bachelor’s degree in design or a related field preferred.
• Experience in corrugated packaging design is a plus.
• Experience with Adobe InDesign and Illustrator preferred.
• Familiarity with marketing, production, and product packaging processes.

Skills & Abilities

• Solid understanding of design principles and drafting techniques.
• Knowledge of ISO 9001 is helpful.
• Strong organizational and time management skills.
• Detail-oriented with high accuracy.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook).
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Able to work onsite and at customer or vendor locations.
• Reliable with consistent attendance.
