Using design concepts from SVP, research, create mood boards and designs that align with brand aesthetics, quality, customer and business needs.Explore new and unique materials, textures, colors, patterns to further elevate and differentiate the brand.Work with the Designers to build and deliver product presentation materials, specs and artwork for cross-functional partners.Partner with suppliers to creatively problem solve and adapt designs to work within factory capabilities and machinery limitations.
Oversee a team of Designers to ensure product vision and standards are carried through multiple product categories consistently.Mentor and develop junior designers, encouraging their professional growth and creativity.
Communication & Collaboration
Partner closely with the Head of Product Development to create best in class products and seamless execution of design concepts.Ensure smooth handoffs from Design to key partners (Product Development and Merchandising) with clear, accurate specs and artwork files.Work cross-functionally with internal counterparts in Brand, Product Copy, Packaging, Merchandising and Production Teams throughout the full life cycle of a product.Lead overall design process, including workflows and approvals, to ensure product milestones are met.Establish frequent touch bases with SVP, Design and periodic touch bases with Founder & Chief Designer to ensure the team’s work delivers on our product vision.
Trend Research & Analysis
Understand our product vision, brand objectives and target customers to identify products and designs to help achieve goals.Support SVP, Design in staying current on design trends, within and outside home.Tailor designs to meet costing targets and margins.

The primary location for this role is Summit, NJ. We believe our business and our culture are strongest when we work together in person. We also know that it’s helpful to have flexibility to work remotely. Currently we are operating under a hybrid model whereby some teams work in an office a minimum of two days per week and may be provided flexibility to work from home on other days. The Design Team generally works in the office around three days per week. There may be times when you’re asked to work additional days in the office and in our NYC office or Photo Studio in New Providence, NJ because it’s in the best interest of our business or your team.
The annual base salary range for this role is $120k - $180k. It is important to note that our salary ranges are based on paying competitively for our size, industry, and the market and are one part of the total rewards that we provide. Individual pay rate decisions are based on several factors, including qualifications for the role, experience level, skillset, scope of the role, and internal peer benchmarking.
