We are looking for a strong Lead Front-End Engineer to join our Workforce Management Technology group to support Starbucks mission and values.Starbucks’ Workforce Management solutions optimize store operations and partner’s work-life balance by providing intuitive and advanced planning, forecasting, scheduling, time & attendance, and labor analytics cloud-enabled and mobile services. As Lead Front-End Developer, you will be leading the development of an array of WFM applications (such as Partner Preference Management and Starbucks Partner App) that is leveraged by 240,000+ partners (employees) across 10,000+ locations (e.g., stores, roasteries, manufacturing plants, and distribution centers) in the United States and Canada.Summary of Key ResponsibilitiesLead the design and development of responsive and user-friendly front-end interfaces using React, redux, TypeScript and other related libraries and frameworks.Collaborate with backend developers to integrate front-end components with back-end services using RESTful APIs, ensuring efficient data transfer and synchronization between the client and server.Architect, design, and implement scalable solutions on cloud platforms (such as Azure,AWS, or GCP) to support our growing user base and ensure high availability, reliability, and performance.Provide technical guidance and mentorship to front-end developers, ensuring adherence to best practices, coding standards, and architectural guidelines.Work closely with cross-functional teams including designers, product managers, and QA engineers to translate business requirements into technical solutions, and ensure timely delivery of high-quality software products.Coach and mentor other team members. Perform cross-training and facilitate information sharing among team members.Identify and address performance bottlenecks in the front-end codebase, optimize rendering processes, and implement caching strategies to improve overall application performance.Conduct code reviews to ensure code quality, readability, and maintainability. Implement and maintain automated testing processes to ensure product quality and reliability.Collaborate with UI/UX designers to implement design mockups, prototypes, and wireframes into functional React components, ensuring a seamless and intuitive user experience.Stay updated with the latest trends and advancements in front-end development, API integration, and cloud technologies.
