Who We AreMadwell is a Brooklyn-based creative collective built to disrupt the traditional agency model. Why? Because we believe successful marketing can be anything. And we love that. We were founded in 2010 in Bushwick, Brooklyn and still call that colorful, creative neighborhood home. (We also call Denver home—that’s where you’ll find our sister office.) What You’ll DoAs a Community Manager at Madwell, you’ll be responsible for maintaining the voice and spirit of the brand on social. Equal parts writer and social strategist, you’ll work alongside our social media strategists and content creators to ensure relevance with our client’s social presence. You’ll foster engagement, build relationships, and maintain the integrity of online communities, while also being the frontline defense and handling it with grace. You’ll tap both left and right brain thinking, with responsibilities from crafting creative engagement opportunities to supporting with monthly reporting.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Managing client’s social community by responding to customer and fan messages in the brand’s specific voice in a timely mannerCollaborating with the broader social strategy and content creation team on content calendar ideation and developmentSurfaces cultural, partnership, real time trend opportunities as they ariseCreates community management plans, playbooks and guidelinesContributing to weekly and monthly reporting to track community management efforts against overarching brand goalsSupporting social content competing and copywriting effortsWorking together with the cross-functional team to ensure that final content is scheduled and published on timeFacilitating paid social boosting recommendations with our media partners and/or internal media teamMonitoring competitive industry activities via social listening platforms and surfacing relevant insights and opportunities
Excellent understanding of social media platforms (and uses them daily!), including their respective strengths, nuances, success metrics, and relevant demographicsTop-notch writing and customer service skills: you can communicate concisely yet warmly over various mediaPossesses acute attention to detailA self-starter, full of passion and ambition and takes initiative in bringing new social tactics to the tableIndependent yet communicative and team-orientedIndependent yet communicative and team-orientedA friendly, smart, objectively awesome humanMust be located within commuting distance of our Denver or Brooklyn office, and able to come into one of our offices twice a week on Tuesday + Thursday every week.Upholds high standards of compliance and ethics. Salary Range: $65,000 - $75,000
