Transportation Designer
We have an immediate need for an experienced Transportation Designer to join our team in Raleigh, NC. This position focuses on the design of transportation projects for NCDOT and local agencies. Candidates must have strong technical proficiency with MicroStation V8i and OpenRoads and extensive experience in roadway and highway design. Responsibilities: Prepare roadway design documents including traffic management plans, pavement markings, signing plans, quantities, cost estimates, and final specifications. Plan and review engineering drawings and specifications. Coordinate preparation of design details and plan sets within assigned tasks. Participate in team activities such as training and industry-related committees. Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor. Requirements: Proficiency in MicroStation V8i and OpenRoads (required) 10+ years of roadway/highway design experience Knowledge of transportation planning and design for highways, streets, bridges, and multi-modal facilities Familiarity with NCDOT standards and project types Job Details: Location: Raleigh, NC 27603 Schedule: 40 hours/week Option 1: Five 8-hour days Option 2: Four 9-hour days + half-day Friday Work Arrangement: MonWed in office, ThursFri remote Travel: Rare/local site visits Sponsorship: Not available Pay: Starting at $85K+ based on experience Benefits: Excellent benefits package with unlimited PTO If you are interested in learning more about this opportunity, please contact Jaie Rogers at jrogers@selectek.com or call 678-802-6632.
