As a Senior UI Developer, you will make an impact by having a strong background in creating user-friendly interfaces and a keen eye for detail. You will be a valued member of our team and work collaboratively with managers, primary team, or other stakeholders and teams.

In This Role, You Will

• Develop and maintain high-quality UI components that enhance user experience and meet business requirements.
• Collaborate with design and product teams to translate UI/UX design wireframes into functional and visually appealing interfaces.
• Ensure the technical feasibility of UI/UX designs and optimize applications for maximum speed and scalability.
• Implement responsive design principles to ensure seamless functionality across various devices and platforms.
• Conduct thorough testing and debugging of UI components to ensure a smooth user experience and resolve any issues promptly.
• Stay updated with the latest industry trends and technologies to continuously improve the UI development process.
• Work closely with backend developers to integrate UI components with server-side logic and ensure data consistency.
• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior developers fostering a collaborative and innovative team environment.
• Participate in code reviews to maintain code quality and adhere to best practices in UI development.
• Utilize domain knowledge in fees billing and commission processes to enhance the functionality of financial services applications.
• Contribute to the development of technical documentation and user guides to support application deployment and usage.
• Engage in regular meetings with stakeholders to gather feedback and make necessary adjustments to UI components.
• Drive the implementation of new features and enhancements that align with the company’s strategic goals and customer needs.
  
  

Work Model

Based on this role’s business requirements, this is a hybrid position requiring few days a week in a client or Cognizant office in Tampa, Florida. Regardless of your working arrangement, we are here to support a healthy work-life balance though our various wellbeing programs.

What You Need To Have To Be Considered

• 8 to 11 years of experience in UI development.
• Possess strong proficiency in HTML CSS JavaScript and modern UI frameworks such as React or Angular.
• Demonstrate experience in developing complex UI applications with a focus on performance and usability.
• Have a good understanding of financial services particularly in fees billing and commission processes.
• Exhibit excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Show a track record of delivering high-quality UI solutions within tight deadlines.
• Display effective communication skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.

• Hold a bachelor’s degree in computer science information technology or a related field.

Salary And Other Compensation

This position is also eligible for Cognizant’s discretionary annual incentive program and stock awards, based on performance and subject to the terms of Cognizant’s applicable plans.
