Job Title: Engineering Technician (Part-Time) - Tampa Radio
Position Overview
Tampa Radio has an opening for a great part-time Engineering/IT Assistant!
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Become familiar with the technical layout and operations of the main operations facility at 4th Street Studio.
- Work with staff members on routine troubleshooting and issue resolution covering a wide variety of technological applications including studio, mobile, desktop, and server-based applications.
- Participate in special projects, initiatives, and project ownership.
- Coordinate with vendors for regular and emergency site work, maintenance, and repair.
- Occasionally travel to our 4 tower sites throughout the Tampa Bay area for technical work, maintenance, repair, and installation.
- Provide weekly updates on equipment and project status.
- Perform physical tasks such as lifting up to forty pounds, working on ladders, and using hand and power tools.
Minimum Qualifications
Technical Skill Set:
- Knowledge of Microsoft Windows (11) and Microsoft Server systems.
- Basic networking skills.
- Understanding of telecommunications systems.
- Familiarity with mobile devices and tablets, including Apple iOS, Android, and Windows Mobile.
- Interest or experience in audio/visual technology, including live HD web streaming, live sound, video production, and Adobe software.
