Large global company is seeking to hire a Senior .Net Web Developer for an 11-month consulting role that could extend longer. You will work onsite for the corporate IT department based in North Fort Worth, TX (Alliance). Must be a local candidate to Dallas / Fort Worth with the ability and interest in commuting to the worksite each day, as remote work is on a very limited basis. Job Description As the Senior .Net Web Developer, you will be responsible for solutioning, developing, and updating the user interface of a very large Field Payroll System (FPS) initially developed in 2011 with C#. The project involves migrating this application to a newer technology framework, specifically Microsoft ASP.NET MVC (currently MVC5, before end of support), and supporting server-side development with strong .Net Core expertise. The current system processes foreign employees' timesheets and calculates payroll based on nationality, contract host country tax rules, and other regulations. Maintaining the current business process and payroll calculations is critical. The existing application's business layer was built with C#, data access via Entity Framework 6.0, and communication between Silverlight client and server through WCF RIA domain services. Silverlight experience is not required for this role. Objectives This project aims to convert Silverlight front-end interfaces to ASP.NET MVC web (HTML5) pages, maintaining similar navigation and process flow to minimize user retraining. A Single Page Application will replace the current interface. The database and business layer will remain largely unchanged, with WCF RIA services converted to SOA architecture and/or RESTful Web API to support MVC architecture. Required Skills 5+ years of experience with ASP.NET MVC 5 or .NET Core MVC, with strong front-end development skills. 5+ years of experience with LINQ in C#. Strong skills with .NET Core. Good experience with JavaScript, jQuery, and AJAX is highly desired. Understanding of SOA architecture and Entity Framework. Solid knowledge of Microsoft SQL Server and T-SQL skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Preferred Skills Experience with Telerik UI for ASP.NET MVC. Experience developing wizard-based MVC web applications.
