Description
The Marketing Coordinator role at the Nordic Valley offers an exciting opportunity to fuse your passion for skiing or snowboarding with your marketing prowess - be it engaging with the ski community, capturing photos or video for social media, writing succinct copy for digital ads, making WordPress website updates and/or sending newsletters.
The Marketing Coordinator will need to possess strong leadership, communication, and multimedia skills to ensure the brand is being upheld to the highest standards.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:Be an advocate for our company purpose, Give People the Freedom to Ski, and be an ambassador for our company cultures and valuesSpearhead campaigns and communications across a diverse range of channels including newsletters, websites, social media, and paid advertisingDevelop content-gathering initiatives, capture & edit engaging photos and videos, and coordinate with freelance content creatorsEnsure the accuracy and freshness of information across the website, social media, and other online platformsFoster positive relations with community partners while promoting brand values.Support event management and promotionsRepresent Willamette Pass Resort as a brand ambassador and customer service representative in all digital and in-person communicationsRegularly work with platforms such as Instagram, YouTube, Facebook, WordPress, Mailchimp, and Google Analytics/Data StudioWork on weekends, holidays, and varied shifts, with the potential for additional responsibilitiesKnowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
A passion for skiing or snowboarding is vital, with intermediate terrain skills being a plusExcellent interpersonal and communication skillsAbility to be self-directed and also a collaborative team playerExceptional written and verbal communication skillsAttention to detail, organization, and self-motivationStrong writing, analytical, editing and research skillsAbility to identify trends and adapt accordinglyTime management and organizational skills with the ability to meet strict deadlinesExperience with SEO, Canva, TikTok, Snapchat and Adobe Creative Cloud applications is advantageousAbility to sit for prolonged periods; lift objects up to 25 poundsQualifications
Experience/Qualifications:
Minimum of 1 year experience in business or marketing is preferredA bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Advertising, Business or a related field is preferredMust be available to work at least 5 days per week, including weekends and holidaysResort marketing experience is not required but preferredBonus Experience:
Part 107 Drone License/Drone ExperiencePreviously worked in the ski industryStrong skiing or snowboarding skillsWhat we offer:
