Position: Newsletter Operations Manager

Salary: $75-$95k
Position Overview:
We are seeking an experienced and highly motivated person to manage the day to day operations of JAMIE’S LIST, the newsletter at the center of WITH JAMIE. The candidate must have experience working for a newsletter in all aspects, from editorial to business development to advertising to community engagement to growth. The ideal candidate will have experience working in a fast-paced startup environment and the ability to manage and execute a variety of roles. A key aspect of the job will be to liaise with both internal staff and outside collaborators. This is a salaried, full-time position based in Los Angeles (Hollywood). The candidate should be available for in-person, in-office collaboration multiple days a week.
Key Responsibilities:
- Strategize and execute on revenue opportunities across all offerings.
- Collaborate with brands and sponsors to secure partnerships aligned with WITH JAMIE’s audience.
- Grow subscriber base, leveraging organic and paid marketing efforts.
- Create and manage a community strategy.
- Collaborate on ways all verticals of the business can work together (online interview series, in person events, physical products, etc).
Qualifications:
- A minimum of 2-4 years of work at a newsletter/media company such as Puck, Airmail, Axios, NY Times, the Skimm, Prof G, etc.
- Excellent organizational and multitasking skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to think quickly on your feet and handle high-pressure situations.
- Working knowledge of AI tools such as Chat GPT, Claude, and Gemini.
- Proficient in Canva, Airtable, Google Sheets, and major social media platforms (Instagram, LinkedIn, TikTok, X, Bluesky, Threads).
- Comfortable with Substack and Stripe.
- Interest and knowledge in politics, the arts, sports, film, tv, food, culture, and music.
- An understanding of basic accounting principles and ability to read a standard P/L and income statement is a bonus.
