Ted says that in our Create Quick Video for the Web class, he learned “how to effectively shoot both A-roll and B-roll film and use different angle shots for certain settings and types of shoots.” He continues, “This class will immediately help you get out in the field confidently.”
Chris Chagaris sold her travel piece on St. Kitts to Caribbean Travel and Life.
Chris says, “I really gained a lot of great information about the different aspects of travel magazines and publications, and what they are looking for. The course was extremely helpful, not only for travel writing but as a template for writing in general.”
Congratulations to Michael Luongo, who was awarded the Sarah Pettit Memorial Award for LGBT Journalist of the Year by the National Lesbian and Gay Journalist Association and the Grand Prize in Travel Journalism from the North American Travel Journalists Association for his pieces on the Middle East.
Michael’s advice to writers: “Be patiently and politely persistent, and thick-skinned, which is hard for writers. Always be curious, bold, and courageous.”
