Lightning strikes all the time for Gregory Levey. The New York law student who stumbled his way into a job writing speeches for Israeli Prime Minister Ariel Sharon, and wrote a book about it, now has more Facebook fans than The New York Times, and more fans than bestselling authors Dan Brown (499,000) and J.K. Rowling (95,000) combined.
As it happens, the title of his book is also the way a lot of people feel about their daily lives: “Shut Up, I’m Talking.” Aware of the book or not, friends of friends took hold of the theme and ran with it.
Levey hasn’t engaged his legion of followers yet. We suspect his publisher will twist his arm just before his next book, “How To Make Peace in the Middle East in Six Months or Less Without Leaving Your Apartment” comes out in September.
