Cision‘s North American CEO, Joe Bernardo, has chosen early retirement and will be stepping down from his post, effective March 1. He’s been with the company for 13 years. Over the past year, he’s been shifting duties to Peter Granat, president and COO of Cision North America. Granat assumed that role in January 2011 after spending two years as CEO of Cision Europe. Perry Yeatman, head of global corporate and government affairs for Kraft for the past seven years, will step down from her post at the end of the year, following a spin-off of the company’s snack business. Nancy Daigler, the SVP of business unit corporate affairs will lead corporate and government affairs for the grocery division and Ernest Duplessis, VP of corporate communications, will serve as VP of corp comms for the snack division. Wonacott Communications has made some changes as it celebrates its fifth anniversary. The firm recently launched a corporate and convergence practice (focused on convergent technology companies), led by Alex Josef and Sara Campbell, both VPs. The firm is also redesigning its corporate website and logo, and has launched The Wonablog.
Zeynep Dereli has joined APCO Worldwide as MD of the firm’s new office in Istanbul. Dereli was previously the general coordinator and founding member of the Turkish Policy Forum, a think tank. She’s also worked as the director of the Black Sea Energy and Economic Forum.
WCG has been named a strategic partner to CEO Connection, a members-only organization for chief execs focused on business issues. The group has more than 5,000 members. WCG will help develop programs that focus on communications with key stakeholders, trust, and other areas. The firm joins Wharton Business School, Heidrick and Struggles, and other groups who have partnered with CEO Connection.
Lesley Ridge has joined 360 Public Relations as content and community manager with the firm’s 360PR Social team of digital and social media experts. She’ll be working with interactive designers and client teams to develop social media strategies and lead other digital work. She was previously digital services manager at Washington D.C.-based k-global.
