Lewis PR, Zelo Offering New Client Services

Two PR firms have announced new service offerings for clients.

Lewis PR has added four new services, all in the social media area. “Social media for thought leadership” will help B2B marketers establish their expertise in a certain area. “Social media response” keeps an eye on and helps to manage situations that can turn negative. “Social media for events” maximizes an event’s impact with attendees. And “Social media for product marketing” motivates communities and influencers and drives awareness of a company or brand. You can learn more about all of these services here.

And Zelo Public Relations has launched the Communications Audit and Analysis Assessment, which will take a look at past PR efforts to see if the message has come through. The 2011 Texas Tennis Open, a WTA event taking place August 20 through 27 in North Texas, has chosen Zelo Public Relations as its AOR. The firm will manage press relations before and during the event.

PRWeek is reporting that BMC Software and Waggener Edstrom are parting ways. WE had been BMC’s AOR for five years. BMC has begun the search for a new firm. WE has chosen not to pitch the business.

MyRegistry.com, the gift registry service, has chosen 5W PR for services including media relations, events, and partnerships.

Roll Call: Keds, Lippin Group, APCO, and More

Stephanie Brocoum has been named VP of marketing for the footwear brand Keds. She will be overseeing the PR, social media, and other marketing efforts for Keds, furthering the “Timeless American Original” branding. She’ll also be managing the brand’s relationships with its partner agencies. She was previously the SVP of marketing for Rue La La.

Lisa Porter, former deputy political director for ABC News, has joined The Lippin Group as VP. She will be based in the firm’s Los Angeles office, working with corporate entertainment and emerging media clients. Most recently, Porter was working as a consultant with entertainment clients including Paramount Pictures. She’s also served as an executive producer at WashingtonPost.com.

Colin Mackay has joined APCO Worldwide as director of the firm’s healthcare practice in Brussels. He was previously the director of comms and partnerships for the European Federation of Pharmaceutical Industries and Associations. he’s also served as the head of Weber Shandwick’s healthcare practice in Brussels.
