Fox Sports sideline reporter Pam Oliver had one of sports reporting’s worst nightmares happen yesterday: she was hit squarely in the face by a football, the result of an errant throw by Indianapolis Colts backup quarterback Chandler Harnish.
Oliver, to her credit, remained composed and was able to do a hit with the booth to talk about the incident.
Oliver actually made national news as a result of the incident. “Fox & Friends,” “CBS This Morning,” NBC’s “Today” and “CNN Newsroom” all played the clip this morning, according to TVEyes. FoxSports.com used the clip as part a of listicle of other notable sideline reporter mishaps.
