ABC’s David Muir anchored “World News” from Miami this evening from the Newsport, a combined newsroom/studio complex for Univision News and the new cable network Fusion, which launches tomorrow evening. As part of the launch, ABC and Univision, the partners in the joint venture, are taking part in a programming crossover in the morning. Merrill will be at “Good Morning America” in Times Square covering that part of it.
Fusion debuts at 6:57pmET with a short launch video, followed at 7pmET by “America with Jorge Ramos.” Starting Tuesday, the network — a mix of news, pop culture and satire — begins a full day of programming. See the schedule here.
