Longtime WSVN Reporter Derek Hayward Resigns

GossipExtra.com reports, Derek Hayward resigned from Miami-Fort Lauderdale FOX affiliate WSVN last night.

Hayward, who started at WSVN in 1991, told Gossip Extra he was leaving because he needed a change in his life.

“I leave with absolutely nothing but the highest regard for WSVN,” Hayward said. “They’ve treated me wonderfully in the course of the past two decades.”

Hayward’s bio has been removed from the WSVN website. TVSpy has reached out to WSVN for comment and will update when we hear back.
