Ben Simmoneau Joins WNYW as Early Morning Co-Anchor

Ben Simmoneau is joining WNYW in New York City as co-anchor of “Good Day Wakeup,” the Fox O&O’s 4:30 to 7 a.m. newscast.

Simmoneau, who will co-anchor alongside Juliet Huddy, comes from KYW in Philadelphia. He has been an investigative reporter and anchor at the CBS O&O since 2008.

“We’re proud to welcome Ben to the ‘Good Day Wake Up’ team. His unique style and ability to find and tell great stories will certainly be an asset to our morning team,” WNYW vice president and news director Dianne Doctor said in a statement.

Simmoneau replaces Antwan Lewis, who was named weekend evening co-anchor earlier this month.

Ben Simmoneau Says Goodbye to KYW

Ben Simmoneau has left Philadelphia CBS owned station KYW.

A station spokesman confirmed his last day was yesterday. They also said he hasn’t announced where he’s headed.

Simmoneau joins a growing list of reporters and anchors who have left KYW in the last month. Anchor Susan Barnett left just before May sweeps, while reporter Robin Rieger left the station in early April.

Simmoneau had been with the station since April 2008. Before workig at KYW, Simmoneau worked at WGAL in Lancaster, PA.
